Welsh saxophonist Lara James performs a range of freelance work in solo and duo contexts, recitals, recording; also with chamber ensembles, bands and professional orchestras throughout the UK. She studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and at the University of Manchester gaining a Masters Degree, a Degree and a Professional Peformance Certificate in Music.  Lara is qualified in Saxophone Performance and Musicology, and her varied work as a musician extends from contemporary classical to many other genres.

Lara teaches saxophone to degree students at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff and enjoys a busy portfolio career in music.
