Lara's contemporary classical saxophone CD will be available in early 2009 and also features the eminent  musicians Jeremy Young (piano) and Kathryn Price (cello).

Jeremy Young performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world.  He is a founder member of the Ovid Ensemble and Manchester Piano Trio, and has performed at some of the world's major concert venues. His CD recordings include discs with acclaimed cellists Li-Wei Qin and Karine Georgian.
Jeremy is a visiting lecturer in piano at the University of Manchester and senior professor of piano and Deputy Director of Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music. See the 'Links' page to visit Jeremy's web site.

Welsh cellist Kathryn Price is one of Britain's most internationally sought after soloists and has travelled worldwide in concert tours throughout the USA, Europe and the Far East. She has received rave reviews from both 'The Strad' magazine and the New York Times, and has won numerous international awards and prizes for her playing. Kathryn is also very much in demand for her inspirational teaching.

Amongst the featured composers on Lara's forthcoming CD will be works by Robert Muczynski, Graham Fitkin and a Sonata by the Welsh composer Christopher Painter, a work which Lara commissioned and premiered with Jeremy at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2005, at a concert in collaboration with the Welsh Music Guild.
Many thanks to Jeremy, Kathryn and Tim Redpath of Horizon Music Production. Thanks too to James Clarke of Ty Cerdd Studio, for enabling us to use the recording space.

NEW CHAMBER ENSEMBLES

The Kokopelli Consort is a new contemporary classical chamber ensemble made up of a core quartet of the reed family of wind instruments. The ensemble members are Julie Payne (oboe), Alison Lambert (clarinet) Lara James (saxophone) and Clare Gainford (bassoon). All of the musicians are busy freelancers based in the South West of England and Wales and working throughout the UK. The quartet sets out to promote existing repertoire for reed quartet and to develop new works for the reed quartet and its augmented forms as a reed ensemble.

Trio: Lara James (saxophones), Kathryn Price (cello) and Rachel Attwell (piano)
Lara and Kate are joined by Rachel Attwell in this intriguing and colourful chamber combination. More information to follow soon.
